Where you from? ● Kyle Christopher Gray Jr. was born in Philadelphia PA. Aug 26th 1989 at Woman’s Medical Hospital. Raised as a kid in Pennsylvania His Family moved to New Castle Delaware where he spend most of his teenager and young adult life. As a boy he stayed busy with sports all the way up into college. He was Allstate Football star at his New Castle High School William Penn High, and decided to go to Junior college at Coffeyville to continue his dream to play in the national football league. How did your music career start? ● In 2017 Kyle had already had Major connections in the music industry, one day he met a songwriters Guild of America rep he says he would give him a opportunity in song writing. Melvin Darkese was a platinum member of the songwriters guild. I was tryna find the next thing that I wanted to accomplish as a marketer and entertainer. This idea from Mr. Melvin had me writing list of music. When did your music career start ● This interview would be the official start of my music career. After years of debating what I wanted to do after 2016, I took 4 years and created the perfect company in… “Da Dreamer Empire” What are some of you musical influences ● Jay-z (I wanted to have a team from my upbringing to grow with and watch grow. From nothing to something. Also my music will teach lessons only experience teaches) ● Kanye West (the courage to say anything that you mean as long as you gonna stand on it. His is the other side of opinion. He says what you thinking but don’t got the balls to say) ● Fabulous (cool fashion style, smooth lyrically and jus a all around ladies man. He creates music for ladies) What genre would you fall in as a artist ● I think I would consider me to be a HipHop artist. To me hip hop isn’t represented like it use to be. Singing is call but rapping is for the culture. How did you get started in this industry After a couple months of Junior College I realized Football was jus politics and business. The politics of it all really bothered me because I use my bodies to play football and that’s not long term. I decided I wasn’t into sports for business and if I wanted to jus make money I should think about creating businesses. So Winter 2009 I dropped out of college and moved back to Delaware where I started my first business venture ● Sublime Dreamer 2009 I loved Sublime Dreamer, it was a clothing brand that represented embodying the never ending dream of success. While building awareness for my new clothing brand I picked up or learned that I had love for something deeper. EVENTS! In 2010 we linked up with our Local city Dj. Dj Bran. I didn’t know brand but he had 5K followers in Twitter and we wanted him to build build our brand awareness. We did some product shoots and also had him help us with throwing our first Brand Release Party and the first paid event I ever threw. ● Dj Bran 2010 After our first two release parties with Sublime Dreamer my business partner and I thought it would be pivotal to throw events to have people in our city something to do. It was a way to build brand data and also give our community something to look forward to. Delaware wasn’t a place where you have nightlife. ● Merrim LiVE 2012 After a shooting from my birthday event hosted by Dj bran & Dj Diamond Kutcher I release the brands we was creating was to big for little ole Delaware. We wanted to keep our reputation in positive light so we decided to move to Orlando. A tourist area where people go to party. For a year we threw some of the most exciting events Orlando has ever seen on a monthly basis. That’s where I met Derrick Milano and decided to let him become our official event host to build his music career. ● Derrick Milano 2013 The Legendary Merrim Live threw events together up until 2016. The company had differences and a lot of variables changed and that’s when I met Mr. Melvin Darkese. In the same time I met Mr. Darkese I also was introduced to my music manager. Maurice Patterson was a old roommate of a business partner from Merrim LIVE, he open my eyes to the world of Music business and what it is to be an entertainment strategist. ● Formula Forty 2021 What’s ya personal life like… ● Kyle Christopher Gray born in the city of Brotherly love (Philadelphia, PA) to mother Rochelle Lee Drummond & Father Kyle C Gray. His biological father didn’t play a role in his upbringing for reasons that aren’t clear. Kyle was raised by his mothers husband Charlie Drummond who kept him off the streets of Philadelphia with a sports driven agenda. Kyle played Baseball, Basketball and Football up until High-school where he decided to jus focus on football. His parents moved to Delaware to assure he wouldn’t get into any trouble at the age of 15. Kyle was the oldest of 5 children and also was the only boy.
